Recently, Tulsa Banking Rates conducted an analysis of the current interest rates in Tulsa to find out if they’re competitive with those across the nation. Fortunately, it was found that average Tulsa CD rates are higher than the national averages for 6-, 12- and 24-month certificates of deposit.
The biggest gap between Tulsa and national rates was for the 6 month term, where Tulsa beat out the rest of the country by a whopping .16% APY, with an average of .76% APY. One and two year CD interest rates fared well, too, at .93% APY and 1.24% APY respectively.
The information that was used for this study was compiled from the Tulsa Banking Rates database of interest rates within a 50-mile radius of the city. These rates were averaged by term and then compared against equivalent averages for financial institutions throughout the entire U.S.
